Festival Le Spectacle Est Dans La Rue

Created in 2017, the Le Spectacle Est Dans La Rue festival is a whole week dedicated to the circus arts and street performances. Organised by Dos Mundos del Arte. The aim of this week is to re-establish live performance and make the world of art and circus accessible to as many people as possible. In a world where all connections are made through networks and screens, we’re offering you the chance to disconnect and experience unique moments of laughter, joy, wonder and sharing. The festival has everything to please you!

Throughout the festival, you’ll be able to choose from a wide range of workshops on a variety of themes: juggling, acrobatics, theatre, clowning and much more! It’s an opportunity for you to explore these different arts and, why not, discover a new passion. So which workshop(s) appeal to you?

Monday 4 August

Vocal technique

A fun group vocal technique session, with exercises to get to grips with your voice, body and vocal chords, an introduction to circle song and a short 3-part song at the end of the session.

Open to all / 20 people max

Theatre – dance – singing

How do we say what we have to say?

Based on a written or borrowed text and using dance, song and theatre, we’re going to get our message across. Each with their own message, each with their own world. The idea is to let ourselves go and express ourselves using all the strings of our bows.

Drawing – singing

We’ll start with music, all in a circle, learning a simple song to get to know each other and get ready to draw. Coloured pencils and cards with a white side on which to unleash our creativity will be available. At the end, you can send in your card or keep it as a souvenir. No experience or artistic talent required!

Theatre – manipulating objects

Now it’s your turn to become the Festival’s iconic ‘Robert’. Come along with “the roberts” and discover the Robert or Robertte in you!

There is a one-off charge of €20 per workshop. Places are limitedbooking essential.

In addition to the workshops, the Spectacle Est Dans La Rue festival also offers “week-long courses”. Sign up for a course theme and then every day from Monday to Friday explore your theme in different workshops.

11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. – From age 8

The course costs €100 for 5 sessions. There is also a tribe package: €90 for the 2nd person and €80 from the 3rd person upwards. Exception for Taï-Chi courses: €10 for membership, then free participation for payment (by the hat).

During the week, the Spectacle Est Dans La Rue festival will be putting on two shows a day, all free of charge! You’ll be amazed, moved, poetic and laughing as the artists take you on a journey. The first performance starts at 5.30pm, followed by the second at 8.30pm.

A special programme for adults, and only for adults!

This photograph shows a comic theatre scene featuring two actors dressed as polar explorers. One is consulting a map while the other is sitting in a deckchair, both dressed in warm faux fur costumes. The set suggests an Arctic expedition, with fake snow on the floor and a sober black background. This image captures a humorous and visually powerful moment, ideal for illustrating a family play or a burlesque show on the theme of adventure.

And there’s more to come! Throughout the week, the Spectacle est dans la Rue festival will be putting on a host of other events, including a photo exhibition, a refreshment stall, a second-hand shop, and a games area!
