The preserve of professional riders, “the big loop” celebrated its centenary in 2013. Broadcast in 190 countries, the Tour de France is followed every year by millions of viewers, not to mention the ever-increasing crowd supporting the athletes during the event. The 3 stages of the Tour de France that ended in La Toussuire all crossed the 6 Sybelles resorts, which make up this interconnected skiing area : Le Corbier, St Jean d’Arves, St Sorlin d’Arves, Saint Colomban des Villards and Les Bottières.

The Tour Savoie Mont-Blanc was exclusively for young amateurs and new professionals under the age of 26 Today ranked as an international 2.2 event, it features professional cyclists. The race takes place on the roads of the departments of Savoie and Haute Savoie, as well as the Valle d’Aosta in Italy. This staged race is among the hardest in its category… With its motto of “Kings of the Mountains”, the event is focused on discovering future great climbers.

Created in 1961, the event is exclusively for young people aged between 19 and 22. An international event, Tour de l’Avenir is now considered a Tour de France for young people. Many tour de France winners were once highly-ranked Tour de l’Avenir competitors ; Felice Gimondi, Joop Zoetemelk, Greg LeMond, Miguel Indurain and Laurent Fignon won a total of 12 Tour de France among them !

The Critérium du Dauphiné, a race in stages, is renowned for its difficulty. Indeed, the race takes place in the former province of Dauphiné (south-east of France), and in the Alps in particular. The Critérium du Dauphiné precedes the Tour de France by a few weeks, and cyclists often use it as an opportunity to prepare for this prestigious event.

Seven days of timed races for amateur cyclists, at the end of which a general ranking is established. Each of the Haute Route events covers more than 800km, with 20 mythical passes ascended in the heart of the most popular cycling world playgrounds.
