Mount Corbier, via the Coin Cavour Cross

Take the Sybelles Express chairlift for a 360° view of the Vanoise peaks, the Aiguilles d'Arves, the Ecrins, La Meije, the Etendard glacier, the Belledonne mountain range and Mont-Blanc.
Itinerary:
Open 6 days a week, the Sybelles Express chairlift takes you to Ouillon via the path alongside the Niéblais ski lift.
1 - From the top of the Sybelles Express chairlift, take the path in front of you, then turn slightly right towards Ouillon.
2 - Continue for 150m on the farm track, then turn right onto the path towards La Toussuire - Croix de Coin Cavour. The route crosses a mountain pasture plateau, skirting the steep slopes of the Vallon de Comborcière.
3 - From the Croix de Coin Cavour, follow the signs for Fond de Comborcière down a winding path.
4 - At Fond de Comborcière, turn right to join the 4x4 track that runs alongside the Garney stream.
5 - At the fork in the road, continue straight ahead to rejoin the road and turn right to reach Le Corbier.

Good to know:
- The descent is steep, so remember to bring your poles.
- Sometimes the marmots come out at the bottom of Comborcière.
- Chairlift timetable: ask at the chairlift departure point.

Variant :
To reach La Toussuire: At Fond de Comborcière, turn left to reach La Toussuire via Comborcière, Hôtel de Comborcière and Côte Ratel (duration: 2h15, distance: 5.8km, altitude difference +91m -629m). Return to Le Corbier by shuttle bus.
