Mauriennaise Loop

A very popular circuit with local cyclists, the Mauriennaise is an excellent way of exploring the countryside and villages of the Lower Maurienne Valley.
This loop is a good way to discover the Maurienne valley floor.
The road conditions on this route are good, and its use depends on the season.
Water and refreshment points are available in every village along the way, and the nearest repair point is in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne.
Don't hesitate to discover the rich heritage of this part of the valley, including the "Cathedral, Cloister, Crypt" complex in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, and the Aura in Sainte-Marie-de-Cuines.
Many museums and galleries can be visited, such as the Musée du Félicien or the Coopérative laitière de La Chambre (for its Beaufort cheese production).
Last but not least, you can relax at the lakes of Saint-Rémy-de-Maurienne, Saint-Alban-d'Hurtières or Villargondran (with a detour near Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne).
