La Bise - Le Crêt walking circuit

Discover the nature of a Fontcouvertin slope located less than 1000m above sea level!
Departure: La Bise hamlet
Go down on the departmental road n ° 78 until the sign indicating the start of the trail (on the right of the road).

Ideal trail for family hikes, along this circuit you will find a good number of tree species as well as other varied plants sometimes reminiscent of the vegetation of the Southern Alps.
You will follow for a moment an old path bordered by stones.

The first part of this course consists of a "forest course" provided with explanatory labels which show the variety of trees which occupy this sunny slope.

Then, below the "Col de la Croix de Fer" road, the path crosses an old agricultural area colonized by forest; it borrows for a moment the route of the old main path which once joined La Maurienne to the Dauphiné, in the direction of Provence: "Le Grand Chemin".

Near the hamlet of "Crêt", the promenade crosses the "Croix de Fer" road again and returns to La Bise through a beech wood.
