La Toussuire cycle climb

The Grimpée Cycliste de La Toussuire is an iconic race organized by the SMS Cyclo club for mountain cycling enthusiasts. In 2025, the climb will host the FSGT Savoie and Haute-Savoie Climbing Championships.
This ascent links Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne to the La Toussuire resort, covering a distance of 14.8 km with a positive elevation gain of 1,100 meters. The average slope is 8.6%, presenting a significant challenge for participants.

The course winds through breathtaking alpine landscapes, offering stunning views of the Aiguilles d’Arves and authentic Savoyard hamlets.

This climb has gained particular fame as the site of several memorable stages of the Tour de France, particularly in 2006, 2012, and 2015. This timed race attracts many amateur cyclists each year eager to take on this challenging ascent.
