An unusual and exclusive experience with Lionel Bonnel
This summer, the La Toussuire Tourist Office is offering you a unique adventure in partnership with the Arvan Mountain Office: a night in a bivouac under the stars, guided by Lionel Bonnel, a well-known local figure, former top-level runner, farmer, writer and, above all, mountain enthusiast.
A veritable living encyclopaedia of the region, Lionel will take you far from the beaten track to discover the breathtaking scenery, local legends and unspoilt nature in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The programme for your Alpine immersion:
(timetable for guidance only, except for the meeting at 2pm and the return at 12pm)
2.00 pm - Departure from in front of the Tourist Office (ESF)
Briefing and warm-up in the direction of Plan la Guerre via the Croix de Coin Cavour (4 km, 500 m D+)
16h00 - Mountain snack at La Croix: Saucisson & Beaufort facing an exceptional panorama
17h30 - Arrival at the camp and installation of the bivouac
19h00 - Preparation of the meal in the heart of nature: homemade croziflette, blueberry tart, and a small glass of Génépi
8:00 pm - Shared meal, mountain anecdotes, stargazing and a night in the tent
7:00 - Sunrise, free time in the great outdoors
7h30 - Mountain breakfast: cereals, bread, jam, honey, tea, coffee...
8:30 am - Tidy up camp
9h30 - Return walk via Bellard and Col du Marolay (5 km, 70 m D+ / 570 m D-)
12.00 - Return to the resort and presentation of a souvenir gift
Practical info:
From 2 July to 30 August 2025, every Wednesday (can be postponed to Thursday in case of rain) and Saturday on request.
From 3 participants - From 12 years old (accompanied by an adult) - pets not allowed
Price: €199/person - 24-hour guided hike, equipment and meal included
Bivouac equipment provided (tent, sleeping bag, headlamp, etc.)
Meals provided by Lionel
Dry toilets on site
What to bring :
- Hiking boots (compulsory)
- At least 1.5 litres of water (compulsory)
- Warm clothing: jacket, trousers, hat, gloves (compulsory)
- Sun cream
- Snacks: bars, compotes
- Cap or hat
- Binoculars (if possible)
- Walking poles
Activity subject to weather conditions and number of participants (min 3 people).
