Since 1981, La Ruche has been welcoming children and families, summer and winter alike, to a space designed for playing, growing, socialising and sharing.
Run bythe Touss’en’font charity, the Pôle Enfance now comprises a multi-purpose nursery and a leisure centre, catering for children aged between 10 weeks and 12 years.
Over the years, La Ruche has grown and evolved in line with families’ needs, whilst retaining the same aim: to offer children a space where they feel comfortable, supported and free to flourish.
Whether you live here all year round or are simply visiting for the holidays, La Ruche is a place open to everyone, where memories are made and generations come together.
A look back at the key milestones that have shaped La Ruche over the years.
1981 – The birth of a day-care centre
The early years centre has been set up with the creation of a drop-in crèche, providing initial childcare for the area’s very young children.
1986 – Opening of the kids’ club
A children’s club has been set up to cater for older children, alongside the drop-in crèche.
2009 – The launch of the multi-purpose childcare centre
The drop-in crèche and the children’s club are merging: the charity is creating a single, integrated childcare centre.
2020 – Two groups, two tempos
In response to the changing needs of families in the area, the multi-purpose childcare centre is being reorganised into two separate groups, each tailored to a specific age group.

Whether you live in the area all year round or are just passing through for a short stay, La Ruche tailors its accommodation options to suit your circumstances.
A warm welcome every day
With a contract signed between the parents and the centre once a year, for children who attend on a regular basis.
Based on a monthly schedule. With a rate agreed with the CAF.
Children from the local area aged between 10 weeks and 3 years are looked after from 7.45 am to 6 pm at the crèche, and children aged between 3 and 10 years are looked after from 7.45 am to 6 pm on Wednesdays and Sundays.
A welcome tailored to your needs
When the needs are known in advance. They are one-off and not recurring.
The child is already known to the centre and requires childcare for a limited period.
At a rate agreed with the CAF.
A warm welcome during your holiday
Occasional childcare: available for children on a short-term basis, depending on individual needs, at the rates applicable for the tourist season.
An exceptional team for your children
Our permanent team, comprising qualified and experienced staff, looks after each child with care and kindness.
They are supported by a team of seasonal staff, who join the permanent team during busy periods to ensure that every child receives a high-quality experience in the best possible conditions.

I have been an early years educator for eight years and am now the coordinator of the La Ruche early years centre. I enjoy bringing a team together around a shared goal and working with them to come up with activities that make the children look forward to coming in every day. I strive to listen to every family and every child, showing the same kindness and zest for life every day.

As an executive assistant, I like there to be a clear framework so that everyone – children and colleagues alike – feels safe within it.
I am organised and dynamic, and I ensure that every child retains their place and individuality within the group. That is what motivates me: bringing out the individual within the collective.

I am the health coordinator and I ensure continuity of leadership within the early years department. I am forward-thinking and thorough, and I like to plan ahead to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible for both the children and their families. I strive to remain gentle and conscientious in everything I do on a day-to-day basis: I believe this is what helps the children feel truly at home.

As a qualified early years care worker, I enjoy building relationships with children and reassuring them with my calm and gentle manner.
I ensure that the rules are followed whilst maintaining a cheerful attitude, so that everyone feels at ease with me.
Groupsdesigned for every age group
From Monday to Friday, the whole team at the Early Years Centre welcomes children into an environment designed with them in mind, where the activities and daily routine are tailored to each age group.
🦋 Les Libellules — from 12 months to 3 years
At the nursery, the little ones enjoy playful, sensory and artistic early learning activities, outdoor play and opportunities for discovery, whilst respecting each child’s own rhythm and needs. Rest periods naturally play an important part in their day.
🐝 Les Abeilles — aged 3 to 6
At the leisure centre, children enjoy a varied programme combining play, sport and art. Games, exploring the mountains and discovering nature punctuate their days in the heart of the resort.
🍯 The Bumblebees — aged 6 to 10
The older children also enjoy sporting, artistic and fun activities, with an added desire to explore their surroundings. On the programme: day trips to Les Sybelles and exploring other sites in the Maurienne region, to experience new adventures beyond the resort.
