Description
The Three Crosses Trail takes you to the summit in peaceful surroundings, where you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view. Discover the orientation table and delve into the history of the three crosses erected in the 15th century to protect the hamlet of La Rochette from the plague.
From the Praz Rivier junction, take the road on the left that descends towards the winter caravan park. Follow the road to the campsite, then turn right onto a track that descends under the trees and across fields to the road. Take the path that descends to the right below the road to Les Trembles. Turn left to reach the road, cross it and take the track that climbs opposite, then turn right onto the ridge. At the 3 Croix, follow the blue markings n°33 Montée aux 3 Croix which leads to the 3 Croix along the ridge. Return by the same route.
Descent to Les Bottières and return by shuttle bus (4.4 km, 72 m elevation gain, 450 m elevation loss, 2 hours 25 minutes): after climbing to Les 3 Croix, at the Les 3 Croix pass, descend to the right to Les Bottières on a path following trail marker no. 33.
