The Montagne Arvan Office brings together state-certified low-mountain guides who share their passion for the region and guide you safely along the trails of Fontcouverte-La Toussuire.

As true mountain specialists, they tailor each hike to the group’s ability so that everyone can enjoy the experience to the full. Their role is not limited to guiding you: they teach you how to walk more effectively in the mountains, raise your awareness of the richness of the natural environment and reveal the secrets of the local flora, fauna and heritage.

Throughout the outing, they also ensure your safety by taking into account the weather conditions, the route and each person’s pace.

Choosing a guided hike means experiencing the mountains in a different way: learning, observing, understanding and sharing special moments in the heart of the Alps.

Preparing well your hike

To make the most of your trip to the mountains, remember to pack:

  • A bottle of water or a water flask.
  • Closed-toe shoes suitable for walking.
  • A windbreaker.
  • Sunglasses.
  • A cap or hat.

At the heart of wildlife

Take the family on an excursion to spot chamois, the true inhabitants of the Alpine peaks. Accompanied by a guide, observe these animals in their natural habitat using binoculars and a spotting scope.

Your guide will reveal the secrets of their way of life, their habits and how they’ve adapted to the mountains. A special outing to admire the wildlife whilst enjoying the exceptional scenery all around you.

Treat yourself to a scenic hike to discover the most beautiful landscapes of La Toussuire. Accompanied by Marianne, travel to Le Corbier on the little train before setting off along the high-altitude trails.

As you walk, enjoy exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and let your guide reveal the mountain’s treasures through an interpretation of the landscape, anecdotes about the local heritage and an exploration of the alpine environment.

To extend this convivial experience, share a Savoyard aperitif accompanied by a platter of appetisers, followed by a meal and tea or coffee, in an exceptional natural setting.
