Are you a cycling fan,<\/strong> always on the lookout for new mountain passes to conquer? La Toussuire\u2019s Cyclo Week is just the thing for you!
A week dedicated entirely to cycling, spent among fellow enthusiasts<\/strong>: races, guided rides, evening events and workshops\u2026 all in the friendly atmosphere we\u2019re so good at creating. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

LEGENDARY MOUNTAIN PASSES<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n
\n

Suitable for all abilities. Every day, set out to conquer legendary mountain passes: the Galibier, the Croix de Fer and the Madeleine<\/strong>, as well as some lesser-known passes. Our rides <\/strong>are led <\/strong>by a qualified instructor<\/strong> and accompanied by local cyclists, ensuring a high-quality and safe experience. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Before each ride, enjoy a welcome coffee in the valley, courtesy of our partner hosts. You can cycle at your own pace and as you please, and at every summit, a well-deserved refreshment stop will be waiting for you. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

SUNDAY <\/strong>12 JULY<\/strong> \u2013 La Toussuire FSGT<\/strong> Climb<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n
\n

Organised by the SMS Cyclo<\/strong> club, this race is a great way to shake off the winter rust. Meet at the Opinel roundabout in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, where a steep 14.8 km<\/strong> climb with 1,100 metres <\/strong>of elevation gain awaits you. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

MONDAY<\/strong> 13 JULY<\/strong> \u2013 Night out with friends<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n
\n

To kick off the week on a high note and get to know each other, a “social ride” is on the cards. Meet at 9am in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne for a coffee at one of our partners\u2019 venues in the valley. Accompanied by a qualified cycling instructor<\/strong> and the Ma Petite Entreprise women\u2019s pro team<\/strong>, you\u2019ll set off on a ride of around 50 km <\/strong>with a choice of 500 m or 1,000 m of elevation gain<\/strong>. We\u2019ll be back before midday.

This is THE cyclosportive event not to be missed! Three routes \u2013 leisurely or time-trial \u2013 to push yourself to the limit. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

WEDNESDAY <\/strong>15 JULY<\/strong> \u2013 E-MTB or road cycling ride<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n
\n

After the Gran Fondo, it\u2019s time for a recovery ride! <\/strong>Organised into groups of 10 riders<\/strong> of similar ability<\/strong>, you\u2019ll set off from Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne after enjoying a coffee at one of our partners\u2019 venues. On the agenda: the \u2018La Mauriennaise\u2019 loop, a 50 km route with 1,000 metres of elevation gain.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

If you\u2019d like to try electric mountain biking, meet in front of the Netski Vidal shop. You can bring your own bike or hire one there (\u20ac80). Geoffrey, our mountain bike instructor, will guide you to the peaks of La Toussuire. Thrills guaranteed! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

THURSDAY 16 JULY<\/strong> \u2013 Ride to the Col du Galibier<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n
\n

Set out to conquer this legendary mountain pass! Meet at 9am<\/strong> at one of our partners\u2019 premises in the valley for a coffee in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. In groups of up to 10 riders of a similar ability,<\/strong> you\u2019ll head for the pass for a 100 km ride with 2,000 metres <\/strong>of climbing. Refreshments will be waiting for you at each summit. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Finally, to round off the week in style, we\u2019ll be taking you on a ride over a little-known but stunning <\/strong>mountain pass.<\/strong> Meet at 9am in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne<\/strong> for a coffee at one of our partners\u2019 establishments in the valley. The route covers 50km with 1,000m of elevation gain.<\/strong> As with our other rides, groups will be formed according to ability<\/strong> at the start. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

SATURDAY 18 JULY<\/strong> \u2013 Stage of the Tour passes through<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n
\n

This year, the \u00c9tape du Tour passes through the Maurienne region. The riders will arrive via the Col de la Croix de Fer, descend to Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, before heading back up the valley and setting off again via the Col du Galibier. It\u2019s the perfect opportunity to cheer on the participants and soak up the atmosphere of the Tour. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
