There are two levels of altitude for you to choose from, so there’s plenty of variety!<\/p>\n<\/div>

Plateau de l’Eriscal circuit (Loop A on the map)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>
\n

The Eriscal plateau<\/strong>, located right next to the resort, is ideal for a family outing or a contemplative break. Easily accessible, it offers well-maintained footpaths and snowshoe trails, with exceptional views of the Aiguilles d’Arves<\/strong>. It’s the perfect place for a first approach to winter hiking. <\/p>\n<\/div>

Starting point<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>
\n

The starting point for the walk is the Route des Gorges plateau. To do this, go to the Utile supermarket, then take the road that climbs to the left. Once you reach the bend, you’ll see the plateau with the start of the walk. <\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

The trail is groomed, which means that the snow is packed down and the path is marked out in the snow. There are also pink markers all along the route. <\/p>\n<\/div>

The walk offers several options in a single loop – it’s up to you to choose your route! This trail is located within the ski area, and dogs are not permitted. <\/p>\n<\/div>

Circuit Plan Chaud<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>
\n

The Plan Chaud loop is a fun, family-friendly ride on a pushchair sledge, weather permitting. Slightly undulating, this walk takes you from La Toussuire to the Corbier resort. <\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

Starting point<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>
\n

To access the hiking trail, you need to get to the Corbier\/Saint Jean de Maurienne junction, at the entrance to the resort. To the left of the road sign for vehicles, you’ll see a wooden sign with the words “Plan Chaud” (Hot Plan). This is where the loop begins. <\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

The path is groomed and marked out in the snow. There are also black and yellow markers and signs all along the route. <\/p>\n<\/div>

Snowshoes are not compulsory as the path is groomed. <\/p>\n<\/div>

If you wish, a free shuttle bus<\/strong> runs between<\/strong> the La Toussuire and Le Corbier<\/strong> resorts, allowing you to get there<\/strong> and back without difficulty. This shuttle runs every day except Saturday.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/div>

The Les 3 Croix Circuit<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>
\n

The 3 Croix hike<\/strong>, takes you to the summit in a peaceful and rejuvenating environment, where you can enjoy an exceptional 360\u00b0 panorama. Upon arrival, discover the orientation table and learn about the history of the three crosses, erected in the 15th century to protect the hamlet of La Rochette during the plague epidemic. <\/p>\n<\/div>

Starting point<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>
\n

The start of the circuit des 3 Croix<\/strong> is located near the Le Col<\/em> winter campsite. To get there, head to the Le Corbier\/Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne<\/strong> junction at the entrance to the resort, then turn left: the campsite is a little further on, on the right.The hike entrance is located to the left of the campsite entrance. <\/p>\n<\/div>

You can also take the Plateau<\/strong> shuttle bus and get off at the Camping<\/em> stop to reach the trailhead. <\/p>\n<\/div>

Marking<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>
\n

This trail is marked with blue signs numbered 29, “Mont\u00e9e aux 3 Croix” <\/strong>(Ascent to the Three Crosses). At the foot of the Three Crosses, follow the signs numbered 33. This trail is not a loop. Once you reach the Three Crosses, you will need to turn around and follow the same route back. <\/p>\n<\/div>

The route is not groomed, snowshoes are mandatory depending on weather conditions, and crampons are recommended. We also advise you to bring walking sticks. There is a picnic table at the summit next to the orientation table. Dogs are allowed <\/strong>on this trail, but must be kept on a leash.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/div>

La Croix de la Lauze hike<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>

An easy walk accessible from the heart of the village, offering unspoilt, authentic views over the Maurienne valley. <\/p>\n<\/div>

Starting point<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>
\n

The starting point is above the Grand Truc hotel<\/strong>. To get there, leave the Tourist Office and cross the resort centre, passing close to the tennis court and the Beausoleil restaurant to reach the right bank <\/em>: Rue des Chasseurs Alpins<\/strong>. Walk down the right bank to reach Impasse Sylvain Truchet<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

The loop will be marked with snowshoe signs numbered 28<\/strong>, as well as yellow and black markers along the entire route.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Ridge walking<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>

For the more curious or adventurous, take the T\u00eate de Bellard<\/strong> pedestrian chairlift <\/strong>and get a bit of height. Once you’re at the top, you’ll be treated to a completely different spectacle: an uninterrupted view of the surrounding mountains<\/strong> and a feeling of unrivalled space and freedom. <\/p>\n<\/div>

To start your hike over the ridges, as mentioned above, you need to take the T\u00eate de Bellard chairlift. This is located at the end of the impasse Bellard. <\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

The ridge trail is fully signposted and groomed. There are signs indicating “footpaths”, as well as yellow and black markers planted all along the route. <\/p>\n<\/div>

Good to know<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>
\n

To use the pedestrian chairlift, you’ll need a pedestrian ticket<\/strong>, which you can only buy at ski pass ticket office<\/strong> on the snow front<\/strong>. If you already have a valid ski pass<\/strong>, you can use the pedestrian chairlift at no extra cost.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

The chairlift is not accessible to pregnant women<\/strong>. We also advise you not<\/strong> to take a baby under the age of 1 <\/strong>up to the summit. As far as your four-legged friends are concerned, dogs<\/strong> are not allowed<\/strong> in the ski area<\/strong> or on the ski lifts.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

At the top of the chairlift you’ll find Les Carlines mountain restaurant. There are also picnic tables and toilets at Snowpy Mountain.<\/a><\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/div>

\n

The round trip<\/strong> for this hike is 10km<\/strong>. However, you can do the outward leg only<\/strong> (5km<\/strong>), then take the SybellesExpress<\/em><\/strong> chairlift back down to Le Corbier<\/strong>. Then all you have to do is take the free shuttle bus back to La Toussuire.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/div>

Guided snowshoe outings<\/h2>\n<\/div>
\n

The walks can be done on your own<\/strong>, but we also recommend that you try the experience of accompanied outings<\/strong>: during the day or at night, they are often offered with original themes<\/strong> (discovering the fauna, reading tracks, sunsets, stories, etc.) to discover the mountains in a different way.<\/p>\n<\/div>
